After a long wait, the Kickass Torrents is back with a new domain. According to a report by TorrentFreak, the original staffers have launched the website again. The new site has been restored to its former glory with all the old contents.
On July 21, 2016, Kickass torrent – world’s largest website for sharing movies, music, and T.V. shows illegally, was taken down by the U.S. government. The owner of website, Artem Vaulin, was arrested on the same day in Poland. It was a massive blow to the pirate community, where people used to share copyrighted material without paying for it.
Just after the incident, many fake proxies came into existence, and many lesser known torrents websites also gained popularity. Also, the original staffers of Kickass Torrent built a community website “Katcr.co,” but it did not offer any of the torrent links.
Now, Kickass Torrent has been launched again on a new domain, Katcr.co by a larger group of Kickass employees, and guess what? It’s loaded with tons of torrent links. The new site has the same classic look as before. The team behind new website has assured that the latest portal is safe and secure for pirates.
“In order to keep our members safe we chose to rebuild and keep only safe elements. Despite the fact that a rebuild took longer, the safety of our community comes first.,” a member of the team told TorrentFreak. Majority of original site admins have already joined the new website. “This shows the loyalty, dedication, and real love for KAT that we all share”
At the moment, due to high server load KATcr.co is loading very slow. Therefore, it is possible that some of you won’t be able to use it right now.
