You all must be aware of Microsoft’s Surface series that includes laptops and tablets. However, there was no Desktop PC in the series until now. Therefore, Microsoft is planning to expand its business with a surface line of Desktop PCs and has launched its first all-in-one desktop PC, known as Surface Studio.
Microsoft Corporation officially revealed their first-ever desktop computer, Surface Studio on Wednesday. The name “Surface Studio” itself suggest that it is meant to be used by the prime movers. It spotlights handling high-end software like Maya, Photoshop, and other editing applications and has been designed mostly for creative use.
Surface Studio will be powered by Microsoft PixelSense and TrueColor technology. In addition to that, its screen is the thinnest LCD monitor ever built.
The 1.3mm thin 28-inch LCD screen includes 13.5 million pixels (192 PPI), which is 63 percent more than a 4K TV. The display acts as a huge canvas designed for all types of creative work.
The magnificent tech comes with 2.1 surround speakers and aluminium enclosure which makes it simply beautiful from every angle. It runs on a Core i7 quad-core processor clubbed with 32 GB RAM. It has NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M inbuilt graphics card, True Scale, and HD Camera and also includes Zero Gravity hinge, Dual cooling fans, Windows Hello, and of course, its touchscreen.
The Surface Studio comes with a new type of input device called “Surface Dial”.
It can be planted on the screen to make the radial controls appear which can be used in various ways.
The Surface Studio is available for pre-order until December 1 for $2,999 and will be released on December 15.
