The Galaxy Note 9 is here, and just like each Galaxy Note apparatus Before her, one of the highlights of Note 9 is the thing that distinguishes it from most other mobile phones! the S Pen stylus. This time around, Samsung is upgrading the S Pen in a large way: it is adding Bluetooth Low Energy, turning the stylus from a mere note-taking attachment right into a full-fledged remote control on your phone. As the rumors indicated, the addition of Bluetooth adds a ton of new suggestions to the S Pen. You should use it as a distant camera shutter, a presentation remote with Samsung’s DeX, and for music controls.
Pressing and holding the button opens the camera, but this shortcut can be customized to start any application users want. Samsung states it’ll open the S Pen’s brand new Bluetooth features to developers later this year. The additional functionality means the brand new S Pen drains more power, but Samsung has a smart solution to this: with supercapacitors, the S Pen can recharge from the telephone in only under a second and last half a hour. It will still work as a normal stylus even when the pen dies, too. The idea is that users should never need to think about handling battery life on the pencil, which can be smart.
